SharedStart is designed to collect as little information as possible.
Who is responsible
Aer Software Solutions BV operates SharedStart. Privacy questions can be sent to support@aer.nl.
Information on your device
The app stores a randomly generated participant identifier and your race, lap, and finish history locally on your device. You can remove this information by deleting the app.
Information processed by the service
To run a match, the server temporarily processes the participant identifier, match code, current race state, shared start time, connection state, and IP address. IP addresses are used in memory for connection security and rate limiting. The server does not receive or retain individual lap and finish histories.
Purpose and legal basis
This limited processing is necessary to provide the synchronised timing service you request and for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and reliable. We do not use this information for advertising, tracking, profiling, or automated decision-making.
Retention and sharing
Match state is kept in memory while needed for the service. Empty matches expire after 30 minutes, and inactive matches expire after 24 hours. SharedStart does not sell personal information. Infrastructure and email providers may process limited technical or contact information only to provide hosting, security, and support services.
Support
If you email support, we use your email address and message only to respond and retain them only as long as reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding your personal information. Contact us at support@aer.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
